Given the efforts of many women and organizations in California to push through a new law that requires public companies based in the state to place women on their boards starting at the end of this year, I’ve been doing a lot of speaking on this topic. Women Corporate Directors – the world’s largest membership organization and community of women corporate board directors.

2020 Women on Boards – provide the research and data about women on boards

Boardlist Reports – read all the latest reports on women/diversity on boards

KPMG Board Leadership Center – providing reports, conferences and thought leadership about board topics. Provide board member on-boarding resources.

Deloitte Center for Board Effectiveness – have a bi-annual census on board diversity, offer programs and articles on boards. Here is a good one: So You Want to Be a Corporate Director.

Diverse Directors Database – data pool of candidates with global diversity across a spectrum of experience (CalSTRS and CalPERS established, now be available in the Equilar Diversity Network)

Forte Foundation – list of global board-ready women

Latino Corporate Directors Association – The only association made up of U.S. Latinos that serve on publicly traded and large private company boards, as well as C-Suite level and board-qualified executives.

Ascend Pinnacle board initiative for Asian-American sitting and aspiring board members. Creating a platform to network, leverage and support current Asian American corporate board directors; develop aspiring candidates for future board service; and provide thought leadership regarding corporate board issues.
